November Event Highlights

Employee engagement goes well beyond the obvious of training, nurture and directives.  Building and expanding one’s workforce requires finding out what motivates your team members and how best to continue their development.  An overarching realization from the Conference is that community, true community involvement and give-back, is the pinnacle to building a successful and thriving business environment.  Opportunities abound for companies to become involved in, and support numerous entities throughout Lincoln and Nebraska.  From the stories shared, it is evident that this involvement is what continues to drive talent to their organizations, ability to retain the best, and provide the foundation to develop from within.

One only need look to the amazing success story of the Lincoln Children’s Zoo under the direction of president and CEO John Chapo as an inspiration to what success can and should be.  Our featured non-profits fill important needs in our community and offer countless opportunities for you and your co-workers to further develop your talent through time, financial, and giving of oneself.

You may already be engaging your talent in this manner. Kudos to you if you do! If not, consider contacting our featured non-profits to find ways in which your team can partner to make a difference in your workplace and our community.  Contacting one of our featured for-profit speakers may provide you with an opportunity to network, bounce ideas, or develop new partnerships.

Your ATD Lincoln Chapter looks to you, its members, to support these events and share ideas in the complex and ever-changing area of talent development.  This Conference, set in the warmth of the Wilderness Ridge Bitterroot room, provided an intimate sharing of thoughts, ideas, and community.

A big thank you again to everyone who attended to make this event a success. We look forward to seeing you in the coming year!
